It bases each chord on each note independently. The current chord mode is the only thing that I would call an outright joke in the app as it doesn’t offer the option to just play actual triads within key, 1-3-5-7, etc. I know the developers have stated that with the current way it is implemented now it is impossible to have a midi AU placed before the keys in the app, but it would be really nice so that chord and arp AUs didn’t have to be loaded into Audiobus or another host to route audio. I tested out AUs to load my CPU usage to 100% and it didn’t crash it just cut audio (as it should). More than anything the additional stability has been appreciated.
